FISHING REPORTS

May 10,2010.  The water temp taking at the outflow by the U.S army Corps of Engineers on May 5 was 57.7.   The water clarity on this date is stained after he recent storm that went through the area.  Reports of Walleye to the shop have been, Walleyes being caught in the weed beds on night crawlers and leeches on jigs in 3-6 feet of water.  Walleyes are also being caught by the trollers on lead core line or mono line by trolling hot n tots or shad raps.  Few reports of guys still using vib E's in deeper water.  Crappie are being caught around the docks in the state park marina and also at the yacht club.  The sunken bridge at Everett Hull is a good place for crappie also.  Minnows at about 4 feet deep and small twister tails on jigs are working best. Waders are also doing good in the bays on crappie jigging the willows. The bass fishing has been excellent.  Fisherman are picking up lots of bass while fishing for walleye in the weed beds.  Artificial baits such as worms and jig and pigs are catching the majority along with a jig and a minnow.
